Super Sunny Sunday

Here's Jess feeding one of the many goats.

It was a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon yesterday. I went to Cannon Hall Farm with Clare and her family. Its a lovely place where you can touch and feed the animals, have a lovely cuppa and cake and theres a great play area for the kids. We took loads of photos so I'm going to spend some time over the next few days doing some scrapping.

Signed up for another CJ today on Bubblyfunk. Haven't done one for a while as we had lots on with new windows, plastering, decorating, the wedding and of course our new grandaughter. Well everythings sorted now, so I thought I'd spend more time crafting. YIPPEEEE! I love CJ's, the pleasure of putting my own little bit in everyone elses book and of course the fun of getting mine back.

When I'm 64!

Took some more baby photos today. I think I'm going to be obsessive about taking photographs of her now. When Jessica was a baby Allan, my husband, bought me a camcorder so I have loads of videos and not many photographs. I really regret not taking more photographs. Anyway I'm making up for it now, the camera's almost on meltdown. Talking about Allan, I had a bit of a sentimental session when I was scrapbooking recently. I dug out some old photos of us at various times during our relationship and did a double page LO with them. I used some really nice paper and used an acetate overlay with script and pocket watches on it. I printed out the words to two songs - one was called "Young and in Love" which was a favourite of ours and the other was the Lennon/McCartney song "When I'm 64" onto vellum and put them next to the photos. We've been together nearly 30 years so the LO really shows how we've changed during that time. Scary!! Am I really sooooo old?

This is the very first page of Millie, my new grandaughter, born in February 2008. Isn't she gorgeous, just like her big sister, Jess, 8 years old. Jess is pictured here, having a great time on holiday last year in Great Yarmouth.

What more inspiration could anyone want than two gorgeous grandaughters.

Me, crafting and photo's

I've been papercrafting now for about four years and absolutely love it. To start with all I did was cards but then I discovered the ladies of Bubblyfunk and the world of crafting opened up. I learned about ATC's and CJ's, scrapping and lots of other exciting stuff and have had a go at it all. My favourite now is scrapbooking and that has led to an interest in photography. Funny how these things just snowball. I've just got a new digital camera (a Sony DSC H3) which has the advantage of being a camera which takes good pics without me having to set it up (I'm not too good at the technical stuff yet, but I am trying to learn).
